2024 Canal Fest of the Tonawandas welcomes Erie Canal Boat, Seneca Chief

Canal Fest of the Tonawandas, considered the largest outdoor festival of its kind, will have a special guest this year – the Erie Canal Boat, Seneca Chief.

Canal Fest of the Tonawandas is described thusly: Encompassing 2-square miles along the banks the Historic Erie Barge Canal, this family-focused, eight-day festival is shared by the Twin Cities of
Tonawanda and North Tonawanda.

With multiple stages and pavilions, a car cruise, a diaper derby, a motorcycle cruise, an arts and crafts show, a SIKA CUP build your own boat race, fireworks, chalk art contest, a disc golf tournament (new this year), and a parade, there’s a ton to look forward to this year. Not to mention a stately visit from the Seneca Chief, which is making its auspicious WNY tour before returning to its home at Canalside.
