Canisius College locks down Dugan Hall dormitory, students to shelter in place

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Canisius College put one of its dormitories on lockdown.

Director of Public Safety Kimberly Beaty sent a timely notification email to the campus at 4:22 p.m. Monday afternoon, telling students in Dugan Hall to “immediately shelter in place.”

The email also said for students to refrain from using common areas, including restrooms, and that Buffalo Police and Canisius Public Safety would clear the dorm rooms.
