Habitat for Humanity Buffalo and Moog embark upon a new build at 154 Sprenger Avenue

Habitat for Humanity Buffalo (H4HB) continues to blaze new paths, as it sets out to form partnerships with numerous community entities. Recently, H4HB teamed up with Moog, to construct an affordable home in the Schiller Park neighborhood. A groundbreaking was held, signaling the start of the new build effort that will one day see a thankful and prideful family occupy the home.

“Today’s groundbreaking is a testament to the power of community and the impact of corporate partnerships,” said Christopher Kennedy, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Buffalo. “Moog’s sponsorship and volunteer efforts demonstrate a profound commitment to improving the lives of families in our community. We are grateful for their support and look forward to seeing this home come to life.”

The new build, located at 154 Sprenger Ave, will involve teams of Moog volunteers working alongside Habitat Buffalo staff and other community volunteers.

“Moog has always been committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work,” remarked Joe Alfieri, President of the Space and Defense Group at Moog. “This partnership with Habitat for Humanity Buffalo allows us to contribute directly to improving the quality of life for a deserving family. We are proud to be a part of this project and excited to see the difference it will make.”

Construction of the new build at 154 Sprenger Avenue will proceed over the course of several months, with the goal of a completion date by April 2025.
