Music is Art opts to shift its focus to The Outer Harbor

News of Music is Art (MiA) relocating its annual festival to the grounds of the AKG Gallery is short-lived. After conducting more research into partnering with the Gallery, MiA organizers have opted to move onward… all the way to the Outer Harbor. Seeing that this latest twist is simply a matter of logistics, MiA has announced that the AKG Gallery and Buffalo State University will both be participating in the 2024 festival at its new waterfront location.

“After months of planning, Music is Art Festival organizers and AKG staff have agreed that too many challenges stand in the way of presenting our annual music festival on the grounds of Buffalo’s AKG and Buffalo State University (BSU) without compromising the energy and character of the event. In order to present WNY with the experience that it has come to expect with our annual festival, we are beyond excited to announce that the AKG and BSU will be joining us at our new location on September 21st, 2024 at the NEW location for our annual Music is Art Festival, Buffalo’s newest concert venue Terminal B, the neighboring Lakeside Lawn, and Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. Buffalo’s Outer Harbor and provides a perfectly amazing canvas to showcase our WNY creative community” – Music is Art

According to the MiA team, the Outer Harbor – with upwards of 17 acres of lakefront grounds – offers a wide array of amenities that they feel best suit the festival and its needs and requirements. This year’s MiA at the Outer Harbor and Terminal B will feature:

26 stages

Over 50 displaying artists

Dozens of live art installations

Circus arts, kids activities

Food trucks

Ample free and paid parking options for nearly 2,000 cars, along with shuttle services
