Must-Attend Events to End Your Summer with a Bang (August 15-31)

As summer draws to a close in Western New York, it’s crucial to savor these final warm days before the autumn sets in. Take a moment to indulge in outdoor activities like picnics or leisurely strolls in one of our city’s amazing parks. If you are looking for something else to do, why attend the History Museum’s Party on the Portico, take the trip to Lilydale, or enjoy the Carnegie Art Spree? Up for a little more adventure? Check out Drunk Murder Mystery or Sky High Adventure Park in Ellicottville.

And as a final reminder, free outdoor Shakespeare, The Comedy of Errors (closing on August 18) is happening in Delaware Park, and you can bring your own chair or blanket, or reserve a chair from the company for a $25 donation (call (716) 856-4533 or email mgmt@shakespeareindelawarepark.org).

Hosted by the Carnegie Art Center, come to the Tonawandas to see an incredible array of juried art vendors.  Food trucks will be on-site and there are also a variety of cafés and restaurant options within the surrounding downtown district. The Gateway Harbor stage will feature light, live music to enjoy and is located near picnic tables and seating.
