South Buffalo Firm Looking to Expand

Niedax MonoSystems, an aluminum electrical installation material manufacturer,  is seeking to construct a 45,000 sq.ft. addition to its facility at 180 Hopkins Street.  The expansion space would be located on the north side of its existing 68,564 sq.ft. building located on a 7.25-acre site. The Planning Board will review the project on Monday.

From the Application:

The proposed addition is approximately 45,000 sq. ft. and is proposed to connect to the existing 68,564 sq. ft. building located on the site. The proposed addition will be comprised of 41,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing/warehousing space and 4,000 sq. ft. of offices space that will front Hopkins St. The new addition will be comprised of (2) building volumes as seen from Hopkins St. The larger building volume will contain the manufacturing/warehouse functions and is approximately 41,000 sq. ft. and is set back from Hopkins St. approximately 150’-0”. The smaller building volume will be 4,000 sq. ft. and will contain the office functions and is set back form Hopkins St approximately 115’-0”. The addition will be a Pre-engineered Metal Building with a loading dock and (2) at-grade overhead doors and will have a canopy over the main entrance that will front Hopkins Street.

Potter Architectural designed the addition and Buffalo Construction Consultants will construct the facility.
