Take a Bite | Night of the Spirits

October is the best month to indulge in everything darkly dreamy and beautifully haunting. Darkness falls upon us sooner, the trees are on fire with color, and there is a whisper in the air of everything spooky. As the season progresses, there are many collaborations within the area to celebrate Halloween on many levels. BfloBiteClub and Revolution Gallery are collaborating on a one night only, intimate party to toast the season with some culinary treats uniquely seasonal, unveiled art exclusive to this evening and wine paired by Eric Frick of Cuvée Imports.

Revolution Gallery is a local pop-surrealist gallery that houses a vast collection of works by 60+ international, national & local artists. The Hertel Ave gallery provides a soul-stirring atmosphere exhibiting dark, macabre, and grotesquely elegant art entwined with a sultry wine bar, ongoing DJ & musical performances & seasonal events. The flame torches outside create some mystique on Hertel to draw folks over and once inside, the warm bar nestled among the macabre works with some subtly goth or new age music on rotation keeps you wanting more. The dark season is particularly revered by the gallery, as October is appreciated and observed with an admiration so deep that the owners, Craig LaRotonda and Maria Pabico got married, dressed all in black during their cherished month.

BfloBiteClub is a private dining club created by two local chefs, James Cappiello & Kristie Pottle to cook, experiment, test ideas and post about their time together. Their friendship has always involved cooking or eating, so they made it more accessible to share with others and collaborate in the community. BfloBiteClub has grown to include local collaborations for special food driven events and/or fundraising efforts. These gatherings are somewhat specific and limited, as James is in finance and Kristie is a private chef to some local Bills & Sabres athletes.

To kick off the spooky season, join Revolution Gallery, BfloBiteClub & Erik Frick this Saturday.
