The House Beer Built

The House Beer Built is a year-long fundraising campaign by Habitat for Humanity (H4H) that sees the organization partner with local bars, breweries, restaurants, meaderies, etc., to raise funds to build homes for people in tough circumstances. This is done through The Craft Brew Tour Card, which is purchased by beer lovers. The card is redeemable for one free drink at 39 establishments. The money raised via the purchase of the $40 card is allocated to constructing the homes. Since the initiative kicked off in 2016, three houses have been built, with the help of volunteers from local breweries.

In 2023, Hammer & Ales – H4H’s signature event – will return for the first time since the start of the pandemic. The event is being held at The Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward. Tickets are currently on sale for the Hammer & Ales, which will celebrate the vast achievements made since the launch of The House Beer Built. Anyone interested in supporting community, drinking great beer, and bolstering Buffalo, is invited to attend the event, set to be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Over 350 attendees will be on hand, enjoying food tastings, auctions, games, and the company of others who are happy to raise a glass for a good cause.
