The Restoration Society at Clubhouse Buffalo partners with Road Recovery for “finale” music performance

Clubhouse Buffalo, operated by Restoration Society, Inc. and funded through NYS OASAS, supports youth in living addiction-free, healthy, and empowered lives*.

The Clubhouse provides at-risk youth (13-20) with a safe place, and the tools that they need to escape substance abuse. The non-profit’s peer-to-peer, non-clinical approach provides solace for youth that have been affected by poverty, abandonment, gender discrimination, gang and gun violence, foster care dilemmas, mental health issues, substance/alcohol misuse, the justice system, isolation during the pandemic, neglect, and physical disabilities, for example.

The goal of the Clubhouse is to empower and inspire youth through self-expression and creativity while teaching invaluable life and coping skills.

Buffalo is home to one of the 11 clubhouses in NY State. The inclusive and empowering setting offers a variety of programming, such as open mic sessions, neighborhood excursions, free music lessons, cooking, fitness, bingo, dinner and a movie, pool tournaments, weekly virtual peer support meetings, LGTBQ events, roller skating nights, and seasonal parties and celebrations.

Opportunely, the Clubhouse has partnered with Road Recovery – an entertainment non-profit organization that features the Trax Program. The Trax Program arranges a full breadth music and arts program that culminates with an annual performance finale. Over the coming month, these finale performances will be hosted at Youth Clubhouses throughout NYS. Buffalo’s performance is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at 3pm. The community is invited, and encouraged, to attend.
