Since 1999, Dave Cosentino, owner of Buffalo’s Trattoria Aroma on Bryant, located at 307 Bryant St., has hosted over 200 guests on his energizing tours of Italy.
You don’t have to travel far to get the taste of Italy in Buffalo. The restaurant specializes in crafting hand-made pasta and other classic Italian dishes daily. It also has one of WNY’s largest Italian wine lists.
However, if you are looking to visit Italy for yourself and don’t want to go alone, Dave also offers tours of Italy. His plans for 2023 and 2024 include trips to Northern Italy, Rome, Amalfi and Le Marche.
Within an intimate setting of 20 guests, folks can expect to immerse themselves in an exquisite cuisine tour that takes them from Italy’s seaside to the crisp country air.
Pair that with fine wines from Italy’s rolling vineyards and “chef’s kiss.”
As if that isn’t enough, Cosentino will guide guests through attractions from big cities and quaint villages. His extensive knowledge of cuisine and Italy’s landscape make him the perfect host for this unique and memorable experience.
“Time was structured enough to see the key sites, but not so structured that you didn’t have flexibility to explore on your own,” said John Ralph, who participated in the Aroma Italy Tour back in 2017. “We had a private driver transporting us to various locations. He was extremely friendly and certainly knew his way around the landscape.”
The small groups tours are especially fun and it gives participants the opportunity to make new friends along the way. However, Cosentino also offers private tours for friends and family groups, which can be customized to fit travel preferences.
This year’s tour dates are filling up quickly, only a few spots remain for June 2023. Next year’s dates to be released soon.
