2 people rescued from water in Buffalo early Thursday morning

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people found clinging to Gallagher Pier were rescued from the water early Thursday morning.

Crews were seen on Fuhrmann Boulevard in Buffalo around 1:30 a.m. It’s not clear if crews were looking for others, as a helicopter continued to circle the area afterward.

News 4 has reached out to Buffalo police for more information, including why the two were in the water.
