2024 Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductees announced

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — This year’s Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame inductees have been announced.

The 2024 class includes the following:

Nick Bakay, network television producer, writer and actor

Stephanie Miller, nationally syndicated talk show host

Sheila Murphy, former WGR-TV news anchor/reporter

Mary Travers Murphy, former WKBW-TV reporter

Howard Simon, former WGR-AM morning host

Shredd & Ragan, 97 Rock morning radio team

J. “Dooley” O’Rourke, WGRZ-TV videographer

Jim DiMino, former director of national sales for Buffalo/Toronto Public Media

Buffalo-born actor Nick Bakay is best known for his roles as Salem on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and Norbert on “The Angry Beavers.” Stephanie Miller, host of “The Stephanie Miller Show,” broadcasts on satellite and terrestrial radio, reaching more than six million listeners per week.

In addition to the names mentioned above, the President’s Award will be given to former Buffalo broadcaster Ruth Ann Harnisch of the Harnisch Foundation.

An in-person ceremony announcing this list will take place Wednesday morning, while the Hall of Fame induction ceremony itself will take place Thursday, September 19 at Samuel’s Grande Manor in Williamsville.
