Groundwork Market Garden is one of the most exciting urban farming initiatives underway in Buffalo. I wrote about the urban farm in 2020, when they first introduced their 60K square foot Teachout Building. Not only is Groundwork Market Garden a wonderful place to visit, it’s also a great place to attend a community event.
On Saturday, May 14 (10am – 2pm), Groundwork Market Garden is hosting its second annual plant sale – a free community event featuring free seedlings (with limits) and a seedling sale at the farm.
“We will have our certified organic vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings for sale- as well as a number of activities and offerings from our amazing partners. There will be food, music, live art, info for growers, resources, etc. Thanks to the generous support of our Councilmember Mitch Nowakowski we are also able to offer free plants to our attendees.” – Groundwork Market Garden
