BFNC hosts ribbon cutting ceremony for new administration building at 2365 Main Street

Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers (BFNC) recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the agency’s new administration building at 2365 Main Street – formerly Canisius’ Demerly Hall.

The agency, with 130 years of servicing Buffalo by “providing a safety net of human services to assist residents on their paths to success” will now be able to further engage with local residents by offering them with a range of support services in a centralized location along the Main Street corridor. BFNC support services are provided to those living with mental illness and those who are affected by substance abuse. Other services include help with affordable housing, financial education, and tax assistance. Other services offered by the agency range from food pantry conveniences to providing space for quality youth programming.

“The opening of the BFNC’s New Administration building represents a step into a new service era for the 130-year-old Agency,” stated Chandra Redfern, BFNC CEO. “We are living our focus of Reimagining service to the Community.”

BFNC purchased Demerly Hall in December of 2022 for $2.15 million. The agency will use the building as a new office while maintaining its headquarters at 97 Lemon Street in the Fruit Belt.
