Book Launch – “Sons & Their Mothers” by Jacqueline Albarella

Just in time for Mother’s Day, award-winning author, photographer, garden expert, and multi-platform storyteller Jacqueline “Jackie” Albarella is launching her latest project – a book called Sons & Their Mothers. Not only will this book shed some light on the relationships between 12 mothers and their sons, it will also provide insight into the special bonds that can only occur between family members.

That said, it’s not necessarily a given that family members – e.g., mothers and sons – retain tight bonds throughout their lives, and in some cases there are little to no ties at all. Therefore, it is important to take note of the exemplar mother and son relationships that have not only stood the test of time, they have become sources of inspiration for people such as Albarella, and anyone else that happens to pick up her book.

There is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Life is full of all sorts of hardships and pitfalls. These tense situations can help to strengthen relationships. The book is not simply a flowery account of the effortless bonds between sons and their mothers. Rather, it recounts the twisting and turning journeys that are shared between family members that, in the end, are the foundations for unbreakable bonds.

“Sons & Their Mothers shares 12 stories of a diverse group of men and their relationships with their mothers,” explains Albarella. “I think people will like the book – it is funny, tear jerking, and heartwarming.”

Seeing that the sons and mothers featured in the book have strong ties to Buffalo, don’t be surprised to recognize an acquaintance or a neighbor with its pages.

The official book launch will take place on April 13 at the Burchfield Penney at 1PM in the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Click here to learn more.
