BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 25-year-old Buffalo man was arraigned Wednesday on multiple felony charges for allegedly shooting a man to death in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Abdulla Abdalla was arraigned on one count of murder in the second degree and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
Officials said police responded to the scene on the 100 block of Grote Street for a reported shooting at approximately 8:15 a.m. on June 20, 2022. Officials said the victim, identified as 40-year-old Monroe J. Cross, III was taken to ECMC where he later died from his injuries.
Abdalla, officials said, is accused of fatally shooting the victim inside a home on Grote Street.
If convicted of the highest charge, Abdalla faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. A return to court date has not been scheduled and Abdalla was held without bail.
