Buffalo man arrested for 5th burglary in 2 months

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been arrested for an alleged burglary that occurred on May 18, two months after being arrested for four other burglaries, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

2 charged in Buffalo burglary, 1 of them charged for additional burglaries

Police said shortly after 3 a.m. this past Saturday, 27-year-old Walter Dixon was allegedly found at a business on Clinton Street. Officers found burglar tools including screwdrivers, a wrench, and a utility bag in his work bag. He had allegedly caused hundreds of dollars in damage and had stolen around $1,000 in cash.

Dixon was arrested in March and faced 12 felony charges at the time for the other burglaries he was allegedly involved in.

For this incident, he was charged with:

third-degree burglary

fourth-degree grand larceny

fourth-degree criminal mischief

possession of burglar tools

Dixon was arraigned and released on $15,000 bail.
