Buffalo man charged with attempted rape

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been charged with sexually abusing and attempting to rape a woman on Monday.

In addition to those charges, Hunter Saxbury, 22, was also accused of obstruction of breathing.

“The defendant attempted to force the victim to have sex and subjected the victim to unwanted sexual contact,” the Erie County District Attorney’s office said.

Saxbury was arraigned on Tuesday morning and held on $75,000 bail. Additionally, a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim in the matter.

He is scheduled to return to court this Friday afternoon.
