Buffalo man charged with rape, sexual conduct against a child

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An arrest was made Sunday in connection to the rape and sexual abuse of a child, Buffalo police announced.

Antonio Vives, 19, was apprehended after a 911 call notified South district officers of sexual abuse. Police say multiple instances of the abuse occurred on Bloomfield Avenue and that the child was known to the suspect.

Vives was charged with the following:

first-degree rape

first-degree sexual conduct against a child

first-degree criminal sexual act

first-degree sex abuse

The investigation is ongoing.
