JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport will be hosting a two-day viewing party for the April 8 solar eclipse.
A pancake breakfast will kick off the event on the mornings of April 7 and April 8. Aircrafts will be available to rent for pilots by the Great Lakes Flight Center to watch the eclipse from the sky. Dozens of vendors and food trucks will be open throughout the event, and a DJ will provide music.
“The eclipse viewing party promises not only a unique spectacle in the sky but also a vibrant atmosphere filled with aviation enthusiasts, diverse vendors, and exciting activities,” said airport manager Shannon Fischer.
Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to visit the county for the eclipse.
