Construction Watch: Lakeside Commerce Park

Lakeside Commerce Park is growing with a recently completed solar farm and the first phase of a cannabis manufacturing facility underway. Zephyr Partners’ is constructing a 68,275 sq.ft. manufacturing facility and a 7,076 sq.ft. office building on a 10.84-acre site Ship Canal Parkway.

The company will cultivate and process cannabis into a variety of products that will be distributed throughout the state. Zephyr has big plans for the business park that includes purchasing 72.4 acres and ultimately building 1.38 million square feet of space.

In the eastern portion of the park, Uniland Development Company has constructed a five-megawatt solar farm at 255 Ship Canal Parkway.  Uniland purchased the 20.3-acre property from the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) in August 2021.  The site will generate electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 800 households. It is located between Sonwil Distribution’s two warehouse buildings and CertainTeed’s manufacturing facility.
