County Executive to make affordable housing announcement in Cheektowaga

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — After speaking on grants for housing in his 2024 State of the County address, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz will be in Cheektowaga on Friday to announce an affordable housing project.

The County Executive will be joined by legislators and other leaders on Long Avenue near Mt. Hope Cemetery to make the announcement at 1 p.m.

Previously, it was announced in Poloncarz’s address that grants of $500,000 would go toward building more than 600 new housing units in Erie County.
