Doors Open Buffalo 2023

Doors Open Buffalo returns to downtown Buffalo on Saturday, September 30, from 10am to 4pm. On that day, attendees will have access to 27 celebrated buildings. Maps of the participating landmarks and historic sites will be available at each designated tour stop, as well as The Convention Center. Registration is required to attend Doors Open Buffalo. The event is free, upon registration.

While this is a self-guided tour, there are a number of suggested trail routes for participants:

Family Friendly Trail: Buffalo Harbor Museum, Buffalo Presidential Center, Central Library, Nash House Museum, WNY Book Arts Center, WUFO Black Radio Collective

Classic Buffalo Trail: Buffalo City Hall, Electric Tower, Ellicott Square Building, Hotel @ the Lafayette, M&T Bank Gold Dome Branch at Fountain Plaza, M&T Bank Plaza, Old County Hall

Houses of Worship Trail: Michigan Street Baptist Church, St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, St. Michael R.C. Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral

What’s New Downtown Trail: Alleyway Theatre (new season offerings!), Brisbane Building (Hunt Gallery), HANSA Workspace, Lafayette Court Building, Marin Building, Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor Headquarters, Road Less Traveled Theater

Event Details:

• The event map can be picked up at the event hub at the Convention Center or at any participating location.

• You can visit as many locations as you would like, in whatever order you would like. Please note that some locations have limited hours – check the website for building details. 

• All participating buildings are within a one-mile radius of the Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to park once and walk to the buildings.

• Doors Open Buffalo will proceed rain or shine.
