Infilling: Adams Street

We are getting a look at one of the twelve new homes to be built on the 500 block of Adams Street by the Buffalo Erie Niagara Land Improvement Corporation (BENLIC). BENLIC is seeking a variance to construct a single-story home on two vacant parcels located at the southwest corner of Adams and Brown streets.  The variance request is for excessive lot width and insufficient transparency on the north/street side façade.

BENLIC is working with Buccilli Custom Homes to build the twelve homes on 23 vacant parcels on Adams Street.  The proposed home at 590-592 Adams Street is a single-story plan with three bedrooms, 1.5 baths and 1,,320 sq.ft. of living space.  The home also features a full-porch, unfinished basement, and a one car garage.  Michael Lukaszewski designed the home.

An Affordable Homeownership Opportunity Program (AHOP) forgivable loan in the amount of up to $1.8 million was awarded to the project to reduce the purchase price of each home by $150,000 to buyers making 100% or less of the Area Median Income.
