Infilling: Thankful Gardens

Thankful Community Development Corporation is proposing to renovate an existing two-family house at 177 Sumner Street and construct two new six-unit apartment buildings on vacant lots to the north and south of it. The project is south of the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church in the Walden/Bailey neighborhood.

The existing house will contain two, two-bedroom, one bath apartments.

Each of the new apartment buildings will contain five, one-bedroom apartments with 700 sq.ft. of living space and one two-bedroom apartment with 960 sq.ft. of space.

The organization is working with Tredo Engineers, LaBella Associates and Stieglitz Snyder Architecture, and Creative Structure Services on the $2 million project which will be considered by the Planning Board on Monday.
