“Invest in Our Planet.” Join The Great Global Cleanup.

The time is now, to get organized for 2023 Earth Day. There is just over a month’s time before Saturday, April 22 is here. That gives us all a chance to plan, or participate in, a neighborhood cleanup.

If you and a few of your friends opt to get together to clean a street, or a vacant lot, this is an exercise that is considered “low hanging fruit” because it’s as simple as walking around and picking litter. What could be more rewarding than that?

Anyone that is interested in organizing a cleanup, no matter the size, is encouraged to submit the undertaking to The Great Global Cleanup website. Not only does this site spotlight the people, businesses, and organizations in the WNY region – and across the globe – that are participating in Earth Day cleanups, it also encourages others to partake in the endeavor.

Whether you’re starting your own Earth Day cleanup, or tagging along with an established event, be sure to get a jumpstart in 2023. This year’s Earth Day theme is “Invest in Our Planet.”

Find a cleanup, register a cleanup, or share a cleanup.
