Lightning strikes West Seneca house, sparking fire

WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Lightning struck a house in West Seneca Wednesday afternoon, resulting in a fire in the attic.

West Seneca police, who shared photos just before 3 p.m., said the incident occurred on Holland Avenue. All of the home’s occupants were able to safely get out.

From the outside, the house does not appear to have suffered significant damage. News 4 will provide more information if it becomes available.
