Niagara Falls police investigating fatality; persons of interest questioned

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is dead after Niagara Falls police responded to an alleged disturbance on Vanderbilt Avenue early Saturday morning.

Around 2:15 a.m., police were on their way to the scene when they learned there may have been a stabbing there.

Police said that when they arrived at the residence, they found an unresponsive man on the floor. Fire and medical personnel responded, as well. Despite attempting life-saving measures and bringing him to a local hospital for further treatment, he was pronounced dead.

According to police, two people of interest were in the residence at the time. They were interviewed at the Niagara Falls police headquarters and later released pending further investigation.
