Pedestrian hit by vehicle at Union and Walden Sunday night

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Cheektowaga Sunday night.

According to police, the collision took place at Walden Avenue and Union Road shortly before 7 p.m. A stretch of Union near the crash site briefly closed down, but it has since reopened.

Cheektowaga police are expected to share more information on this incident later Monday morning.
