A few rain showers, thunderstorms accompany a cold front across the region today. The activity will blossom into some locally heavy downpours capable of producing poor-drainage flooding east and southeast of the metro early afternoon.
The showers start to taper from west to east mid-late afternoon. The air pushing in behind the front is just a bit cooler, not necessarily cold.
Tranquil weather wraps up the mid-late week along with moderating temperatures.
