A vacant site on Genesee Street is targeted for a ten-unit senior citizen apartment project. Miracle Missions Full Gospel Church, located at 406 Sycamore Street, is seeking to buy three City-owned parcels at 440-450 Genesee Street to construct the $2 million project. The church is working with Karen Hargrove of Loguen Development Corporation on the project.
The Office of Strategic Planning is seeking Common Council approval to enter into a Designated Developer Agreement with the team to purchase and develop the properties. The ten apartments would be targeted to low-to-moderate income seniors ages 62 and older. Ten off-street parking spaces would be constructed. If approved, the project team would have one-year to put together financing and purchase the properties.
