Thursday & Main is back, and ready to rock downtown Buffalo all summer long. Buffalo Place has announced the lineup for the 2024 season, which takes place at Fountain Plaza from 5pm to 8pm.
Buffalo Place established this relatively new outdoor concert series as a way to continue the mission of Thursday at the Square by creating awareness and spin-off business for Downtown restaurants, bars, and retailers.
For eight years, Thursday & Main has been electrifying Fountain Plaza, by booking some of the region’s top bands. It is interesting to note that the original Thursday at the Park concert series began at Fountain Plaza before it became too overwhelming for the space and was relocated to Lafayette Square. Now, this free concert series has gone back to its original roots, thanks to the efforts of Buffalo Place.
Guests will enjoy a rotating roster of local restaurants on site weekly, including food (for purchase) from Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, Jack Rabbit, and Bijou Grille.
From Buffalo Place: This Thursday, June 13th will feature masters of the music of The Tragically Hip, The Strictly Hip with special guest and incredible vocalist, Erin Hoyle. Since 1995, The Strictly Hip have been evangelists, spreading the good word of The Tragically Hip’s music far and wide. Taking an almost academic and studious approach to performing the music of Canada’s most popular band, the band works to present The Tragically Hip music with reverence, respect, and accuracy. A Western New York summer must-see, Buffalo Place is delighted to welcome these talented musicians to the heart of Downtown Buffalo.
