Woman killed in crash in Chautauqua County

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 22-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Route 394 in Chautauqua County Tuesday evening, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Police responded to Route 394 near Carpenter-Pringle Road in the town of North Harmony just before 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, where a 2018 white SUV had traveled off the roadway and rolled over.

The woman, identified as Franchesca L. Onealhawkins of Jamestown, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others, Victoria M. Smith of Lakewood and Nija T. Slatterhawkins of Jamestown, both 19, were transported to UPMC Hamot to be treated for serious injuries.

Smith remains in the hospital, while Slatterhawkins has been released.

The crash is still under investigation.
