6-year-old girl killed after being struck by vehicle in Tonawanda

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 6-year-old girl was killed Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in Tonawanda, police said.

Just before 8 p.m. Monday, the girl was struck by a Ford Transit Connect Van on Canterbury Lane while trying to cross the street, according to police. The child died at Kenmore Mercy Hospital.

Police say 84-year-old Charles Voit of Tonawanda was driving the vehicle and is cooperating with the investigation.
