B Sweet Designs, owned by Marissa Battaglia, has been specializing in full-service, custom dessert tables and edible gifts for weddings and special events for over eight years. Now, they are opening a brand new, carefully curated dessert lounge and design studio in Larkinville. In addition to holding dessert table consultations, they will also be hosting dessert-based experiences (both ticketed for the public and private), offering a custom-order program that changes quarterly. They will have evening and weekend storefront hours, perfect for when customers are looking for that after-dinner sweet treat.
At their intimate, ticketed events, customers will be served three custom-designed gourmet desserts (different items and flavors across each event, so no two events will ever be the same), paired with a glass of sparkling wine (or effervescent mocktail alternative) that can be enjoyed in their sweet and charming lounge setting while listening to two live DJs play complementary sets. The first event – to be held on February 15th – sold out in an hour, so they likely will be holding another one in mid-March. They will announce details about ticket sales on their Instagram @b_sweetdesigns, so stay tuned.
Marissa collaborates with some of the most talented bakers in the area to collectively curate and design seasonal and special occasion desserts of all kinds. Coming this April, they will be offering a custom-order program that changes quarterly, where customers will be able to order one-of-a-kind, customizable cakes, cupcakes, cake boxes, and holiday dessert boxes for life’s special occasions.
B Sweet Designs will host their official Grand Opening on April 12, which is when regular store hours will go into effect. The shop will be serving organic wines, sparkling wine and beer, as well as non-alcoholic beverages such as mocktails, sparkling water, and espresso, along with tea drinks… of course. The menu will change-up often, but people can expect to find items such as mini cakes, mini cheesecakes, tarts, french macarons, brownies, and even tea sandwiches – perfect for an afternoon tea for two!
B Sweet Designs is located at 799 Seneca Street. The entrance is on Hydraulic Street, next to the Plating Society.
