WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — The giant Scholarship Book Sale hosted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will have its final day on Sunday with a dream deal for book lovers. Admission is free, and readers can stuff a grocery bag full of books for just $5.
The annual sale has been hopping since the doors opened on Wednesday. Some customers return every year and even donate back books they’ve purchased and read the year before. Other buyers are new to the event, which began with close to 200,000 books, games, and puzzles for adults and children. Specialty books and collectibles have their own section.
The beauty of the book sale is that every item is cataloged and displayed by genre or theme, with prices mostly in the $1-$2 range. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the AAUW, which supports several scholarships and educational programs.
The final day of the sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at 425 Essjay Road, Williamsville. Bring your own bag. To find more information, click here.
