Consolidated Public Works Facility Planned for Bailey Avenue

The City of Buffalo is planning to relocate its public works facilities to a property near Bailey Avenue and Dingens Street. After seeking proposals from developers, the City has chosen Uniland Development to construct the facility on 60 acres of vacant land to be purchased from Norfolk Southern Corporation. The site consists of two parcels to be created on the west side of Bailey Avenue, south of William Street and opposite Dingens Street.

Public works services including equipment storage, maintenance facilities and administrative offices will relocate to the new modern facility vacating the Broadway Barns at 195 Broadway and allowing that site to be redeveloped into a mixed-use complex.

Last May, the City selected a team led by Silo City developer Anthony Ceroy of Nysko Development, Danielle Shainbrown and Nicole Komen of Bellweather Advisors, Hallmark Planning and Development, and Carmina Wood Design to redevelopment the Broadway Barns site once vacated.  The reuse will include commercial, recreation and residential space.
