Ground broken on Taco Bell in Lackawanna

LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) — The corner of Abbott and Ridge roads in Lackawanna is getting new life in the form of a Taco Bell.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the planned restaurant took place on Wednesday morning. In addition to Lackawanna, KBP Brands is also planning to open restaurants in Grand Island and Tonawanda.

The goal is to open all three in late summer or early fall and bring more than 150 jobs to Erie County.

Lackawanna Mayor Annette Iafallo and members of the city council were present for Taco Bell’s groundbreaking.
