The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts (CFA) is certainly on a roll.  Having recently announced Ben Folds as part of its fall 2024 line-up, (with tickets already selling briskly) they just released news about a concert that’s going to make a lot of Queen fans VERY happy.  To quote the late, great Freddie Mercury, this show “will rock you.”

Killer Queen – A Tribute to Queen, featuring Patrick Myers as Freddie Mercury, takes the stage with its thrilling, adventurous and electrifying performance on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8p.m. Tickets for this show just went on sale and are available at, Ticketmaster or in person at the UBCFA Ticket Office.

This marks Killer Queen’s first U.S. tour since they performed their inaugural tribute concert in 1993 at London University, following in the footsteps of the band that had played their first concert there decades earlier. Their expert musicianship, extraordinary energy and accurate portrayal of the world’s greatest live band have rightfully earned them the title of Queen tribute royalty. Thrilling sell-out audiences across the globe, Killer Queen recreates the high energy, powerful phenomenon that was Queen live. With the CFA’s perfect acoustics, this evening of Queen’s amazing cadre of hits is going to be a real treat for fans of all ages.

“The UBCFA is once again bringing an outstanding show to Western New York and Southern Ontario audiences,” says Jamie Enser, executive director of the UBCFA.  “We know Queen’s legions of fans are going to be thrilled with this incredible tribute to one of the greatest live bands to ever perform.”

Lead singer Patrick Myers said, “It’s been an amazing journey. That first show changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs. The concerts grew and grew and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride.”

Tickets are $43, $53 and $63. For more ticket information call 716-645-2787 or The ticket office is open Tuesday-Friday from 12–6 p.m.  For additional information on upcoming shows, to buy tickets, or view the full schedule of programs and activities in the UBCFA, visit the events and exhibitions web page.
