Winter for one day, then much milder again

Just a quick hit of wintry weather today and then it’s back to the unseasonably warm pattern that we have been into lately. Lingering lake effect snow showers start to taper this afternoon with increasing sunshine regionally for the afternoon.

It’s a beautiful finish to the week Friday with rebounding temperatures. The Saturday weather has been slipping over the past few days. The clouds win out, with a few rain showers from Buffalo northward, and greater coverage to the rain south and east. We return to dry weather Sunday with more sun breaking out and increasing warmth. Record warmth will be possible early next week.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly Clear Moonlit Sky, Low: 19 valleys, 27 Erie shore, Wind: SSW 8-15 mph

FRIDAY: Milder, Loads of Sunshine, High: 45 hills, 51 east of Buffalo, Wind: SSW 10-17 mph, Low: 35

SATURDAY: Mild, Mostly Cloudy, a few Light Rain Showers Buffalo northward, Greater coverage to the showers south and east. It all tapers by evening, High: 50, Low: 40

SUNDAY: Warm, Clouds to Start, then more Sunshine Breaks Out, High: 63, Low: 46

MONDAY: Very Warm, Partly Sunny, High: near 70, Low: 47

TUESDAY: Very Warm, Mostly to Partly Sunny, High: near 70, Low: 45

WEDNESDAY: Mostly Cloudy, a few Morning Rain Showers, with increasing coverage PM, High: 51, Low: 35
