Kia struck by motorcycle in Niagara Falls leaves 2 injured

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A crash in Niagara Falls Tuesday evening between a motorcycle and a Kia left two people hurt, according to Niagara Falls officials.

Just after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Niagara Falls police responded to the intersection of Hyde Park Blvd. and Lockport St. to investigate a crash.

A 2015 Kia was turning left onto Lockport St. from Hyde Park Blvd. when it was struck by a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, officials said.

The 42-year-old Lewiston man on the motorcycle suffered severe injuries to his lower leg, while the 55-year-old Niagara Falls man driving the Kia suffered back pain.

The Lewiston man was transported to ECMC for treatment and the Niagara Falls man said he would seek treatment from his personal physician.

The accident is still under investigation to determine any charges.
